Biography:

Doctor of Sciences, Professor Tetiana Moskalets investigates primary and secondary plant metabolites and their associated mechanisms of adaptability at the molecular-genetic, organismal, population-species, and ecosystem levels. Due to the Russian–Ukrainian war, she joined the research group of Dr. V. Leksa and Dr. E. Kutejová at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Slovak Academy of Sciences (IMB SAS), where she studies the therapeutic effects of secondary plant metabolites, including their inhibitory influence on the process of pulmonary fibrosis in vitro. She applies biochemical, microbiological, molecular, cytological, and microscopic methods to elucidate possible mechanisms by which plant-derived substances suppress pulmonary epithelial–mesenchymal transition.

Her research is currently being conducted and funded within the framework of the Scholarship for a Scientist Threatened by War in Ukraine - project code 09I03-03-V01-00113. (SCOPUS identifier: 57687150300; ORCID identifier: 0000-0003-4373-4648)
