Biography:
Dr. Silvia Catuogno is a researcher at the IEOS of the Italian National Research Council. Her research interest is mainly focused on the development of RNA-based therapeutics for cancer targeted therapy. She has a great experience in the field of aptamer selection and development as inhibitory drugs or selective delivery tools for secondary agents (i.e. si/miRNAs). She is inventor of 4 patents having as an object aptamers or aptamer-based conjugates for cancer diagnosis and/or therapy. She won a scientific prize awarded by InnoCentive Inc. for the development of an aptamer-ASO conjugate for cancer therapy
